At certain times of the year, Milestone accepts applications for its Developmental Trainee Program. When we are accepting applications, it will be listed online with any other open positions.
The objective of this program is to develop a core of well-trained individuals whose performance will enhance the organization's abilities to perform at a level that is consistent with growth and profitability goals.
Each participant will receive a balanced prospective for each appropriate functional area including: Contract Administration/Scheduling; Operations; Business Development (Estimating), Human Resources, and HMA Production/Quality Control. In this way, the trainee's interest, abilities, and skills can be reviewed, developed and aligned with Milestone's needs, allowing for optimal participant placement at process end.
Development training participants will spend approximately 3 months to 1 year in each functional area. Initial functional area assignment will vary based upon training opportunity and Milestone's staffing needs.
Developmental Training Process participants are selected through standard Milestone recruitment and selection methods. Dimensions considered are: interest and experience in construction, learning ability, work related flexibility, grade point average, initiative, future promotion capability, etc.
Milestone hires directly from Union Halls. If you are interested in a craft position, please visit your local Laborers, Operators, Carpenters or Teamsters Union office.

I live in Martinsville and wanted to contact you to give your workers some recognition. We buried my mother-in-law on Friday and there were 3 or 4 of your workers at Poston Elementary School and they stopped what they were doing and removed their hardhats and held them as the funeral procession went by. Our whole family felt the gesture was so heart-felt and touching. I just wanted to let you know on behalf of the whole Myers family that we really appreciated them and that I would like to send a personal thank you to all of your workers on the site that day.
