Cultivate is a Food Rescue in South Bend, Indiana.

What is food rescue?

Food rescue, also called food recovery is the practice of gathering edible food that would otherwise go to waste from places such as restaurants, grocery stores, produce markets, or dining facilities and repurposing that food.

With the help of volunteers Cultivate is able to take that food and turn it into frozen meals. Those meals are then used in their backpack program which provides 6 meals over the weekend to a child in need!

Cultivates missions is to build a local network of food suppliers with the goal of providing wholesome meals so that no one in our community goes hungry. At Milestone we live by Making Lives Better One Road and Bridge at a Time, but we also have a duty to help our communities in other aspects. When we first learned about Cultivate and their mission to serve, we knew that they would be a great partnership. For over 4 years, our team members have stepped up and donated their time to packing meals for this organization.

It is rewarding to partner with a company who does so much for the community we live and work in. To learn more on how you can help Cultivate in their mission in ending child hunger follow the link: https://cultivatefoodrescue.com/take-action/
