At Milestone, our safety is our culture. Our purpose is to build a safer, more enriching, and sustainable world by harnessing the power of family. We not only want our workers to go home safely, but we also want them to create a healthy environment that focuses on communication, accountability, and preparation. As a family business, it is our job to look out for one another and prioritize our wellbeing.

Below are some safety tips that we want all team members to keep in mind during these late summer months. These are important safety tips, whether we are on or off the clock.

Never accept food or beverages from anyone you do not know. Regardless of their intent, only accept items from members of your team or people you know.

Alert your team members if someone you don’t know is distributing food or beverages. Don’t be afraid to speak up if you see something that doesn’t seem right to you.

Remind others about the risks of accepting food or beverages from people you don’t know. Sharing information about the risks such as this can help prevent family, friends and team members from getting hurt.

Knowing the source of what you are eating and drinking will help keep you safe. And even if you know the source, it is also a good reminder to make sure your food and water are properly sealed and have not been tampered with.
